Hey all, looking to buy myself a Mac mini - definitely needs to be Intel as I need windows accessible. Not bothered if it's a solo or a duo chip, but I'd ideally like it to have a 1gb of RAM to handle Office for me nicer.

Offer me a fair price and I'll have money to you tomorrow :)

Only reason I ask for this is as follows (sympathy vote? Who knows)

My Macbook has been acting as my primary computer for a few months now but the use of such a small screen has started to put a strain on my eyes and I want to get a small desktop to hook up to an external monitor. To add to this I'd rather use the desktop so as not to place unnecessary strain on my laptop as I tend to leave it on 24/7 nearly.

Any help much appreciated. To put in context what would be a 'fair' price to me - I can get the current 1.66Ghz (low end) mini with a gig of ram for £404 pounds off the higher ed site.

i can do you a big favour, my eMac is up for sale and it comes with Office installed for you. I shall even throw in a 17" flat CRT screen and stereo speakers and KBD and mouse with 1 gig of ram. Best of all this rig just flies with office due to it being fitted with the latest G4 processor :) those lame Intel Core chips were never designed to run power PC code :p

great for photoshop and you get elements 4 included. this rig runs it faster than both my iMac C2D 24" and my iMac G3 15" (love my bondi iMac)

Hell to make the deal I will even leave Apple Works installed.

all for £403.00 a whole lot cheaper than your HE intel mac lamie

ok ok i'll throw in the desk and 20 back issues of Mac User

Hell, to make the deal stay up on the forum, you'd better be providing all those disks with all that great software.

He's under the number of posts for the Marketplace that'll be why. And to be fair, expecting £400 for an eMac is ludicrous these days, it really is.
