I think I may have both for you. Can you tell me what specs are looking for in the RAM and the Video card?

Also, I've got a 9.x disc, but it's not retail, it's a restore disc from an old PB, but I know it's not 'locked' to that particular model as I've used it on my 600 MHz snowBook before.

Oh wow, I didn't realize I posted these both in the same thread. 128-256MB chips for RAM, and just seeing what is out there for video cards.

I will definately take the 9.x CD... as long as it is 9.2.x!

I have both 128's and 256's (Mac memory, not PC). $15 for 128's and $25 for 256's (think I have 4-5 of each) shipped.

Also have a brand new ATI 9200 (Retail), but it may be pricey for an older G3.

Lots of feedback / sales here, 100% ebayer, paypal preferred / verified.

Oh wow, confusing linkage of threads going on here:

If anyone has some *unexpensive* video cards (16-32MB) those would be interesting :)

I *think* I may have a spare ATI Rage Pro 128 sitting in my closet that could go for real cheap, but I'll have to check when I get home from work.

I'll update in like 20 mins or so.

EDIT: looks like my fiance threw that out a while ago. Sorry!

Out of curiosity, why 10.2?

In general, 10.3 is better for pretty much anything - including speed.

For beige G3s it seems easier to install 10.2 and then use XPostFacto from there to install 10.3 than any other OS. Not too mention there is plenty of space on a 80GB HD for 10.2 and 10.3. And in case the PRAM gets reset, the person using it will have a fairly familiar interface to use to get to 10.3 again.

(And XPostFacto 4 requires 10.2 or higher... I currently have 10.0.3, 10.1 and 10.3)

I have an ATI Nexus 128 (32MB) card. It's branded as a Rage 128, but it's a Nexus. It's a PCI card, and it's currently in use in my beige G3, but I don't really need that kind of graphics power for what I'm doing. Let me know if you're interested.
