Well most people probably knew this was going to happen, but it's nice to have official confirmation that this isn't PS3-only as it was previously unconfirmed for 360.

January 25, 2007 - Punching home a message that Midway is coming to the next-generation with a full stable of goods, the Chicago-based publisher today announced that the game formerly known as Unreal Tournament 2007 is now Unreal Tournament 3. And it's coming to the PC, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360 in the second half of 2007.

It was also confirmed for PC before as well.......this announcement was a long time coming.
Many people just assumed it was PS3 exclusive. ;)

I hope this one has gameplay, and not gameplay that resembles the plasticky look of the characters in it :( UT99 - good. UT2003+ - not so good.

Weird they are going to call in UT3 - instead of UT2007.

One gets a bit more life out of something by not using the year. Particularly if 2007 doesn't come out till halfway through or towards the end of 2007. With 3 it won't sound so old in your head for so long. Think if XP was 2002 or whatever and we're in 2006 still using it?

After seeing some of the UT engine on some 360 games I'm looking forward to it. Should be fun to play.

True. UT2004 seems anicent now in retropect, even though its only the name thats really dating it.

I'll agree that 99 was the best, and that 2003 wasn't so hot, but I thought 2004 was a really good game.

2004 was great. Very comprehensive, first proper use of vehicles etc. set the benchmark for subsequent games.

Hey, has there been any confirmation of an actual Mac version in the works, or are we going to have to resort to bootCamp?

I'll agree that 99 was the best, and that 2003 wasn't so hot, but I thought 2004 was a really good game.

Neither of the 2003 or 2004 demos persuaded me to part with any cash and give up playing the 1999 original UT. I still enjoy that game occasionally today.
