I'm just "feeling" right now, but I'm trying to get a hold of a Macbook/Powerbook, and I wanted to see what I could get for my 1.5Ghz Mac Mini G4. It's got a gig of RAM, an 80GB Hard drive, and a Combo drive. (Airport Extreme and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR as well.) This is the last revision of the PowerPC based Mac minis, and it was "secretly" updated to 1.5Ghz.
This includes an Apple Keyboard, and a Microsoft mouse.
Pics if anyone is interested.
Again, I'm trying to get a Macbook, so if anyone will trade that for the Mini + cash, I would be very happy.
Oh, and it has Applecare until 2008/9, I believe.

They're on eBay for around $450. (I've added a bit due to the AppleCare warranty as well as the 1GB of RAM)

are you sure that it doesn't have a superdrive? i thought those high-end mac minis came with superdrive. (mine did). also, ebay prices don't carry that much weight around here in the sense people expect to pay less than ebay prices since you're selling to "friends" in the forums and that you wouldn't have to pay ebay fees. so buy in the forums, and sell on ebay :-P

This Mac mini is "sans Superdrive".
In terms of the price, you make a good point, but I think that a 50% price difference between the two is a big rift.
Thanks for the input.

Canadian. Sorry; should have converted that to U.S. prices. So that's around $400 U.S. I think?

Maybe a little closer to $380.
Ah. Even with the RAM and Applecare, it seems a bit low...

I wasn't making an offer, I was just giving you the value that I got when I converted 450CDN to USD. Sorry if there was any confusion. Yahoo finance put it at $381.54. Apparently, the Canadian Dollar has taken a nose dive since around November 2006.

Okay. Well, that's unfortunate. Maybe I should have sold earlier. Silly Canadian economy. :p
