FA: Modded iBook G3

Modded or regular casing. Clear (modded) or original white. You choose; On eBay, it is listed as a normal G3, but here I can sell it modded since MR is much better :o



$225 + shipping if someone here wants it.



Note: Only problem is a software issue. The clock resets itself upon every login, and when Safari is launched, it freezes.

If you can find the cable, and I like the pictures, I have the money sitting in PayPal waiting, I'll be taking this laptop with me to a medical program this summer so my precious MacBook isn't in danger of being stolen/broken/dented, the G3 iBooks were tough machines, I've owned 3 or 4 of them in the last few years.

Can't wait to see the pics, I think I might be really interested in purchasing this laptop.

You must include discs for any software installed on the machine at the time you sell it.

Well, this thing has a CDROM drive. Even if I include the disc, it won't be able to use it unless someone upgrades to a Combo drive. Although, I thought I saw some machines FS here that didn't say they included discs. I could be wrong though. Thanks! :)

You clearly got Tiger on there somehow...how did you manage it? If you can't provide Tiger discs for the machine, you should roll back the OS to whatever came with the machine and include the system restore discs.

I'm sure we don't catch all instances of people selling unlicensed software illegally, but we do our best. The mods have to rely on post reports or stumbling across such posts in our own browsing.

I purchased a combo for my other G3 iBook and used it in this one to install Tiger, then put it back in the other one. My friend bought it from me last year though.

EDIT: Also, this one originally came with 10.2 but I don't have any discs for it.

for future reference, DONT post an ebay auction without a photo in it. your bids will suffer.

if you cant get a photo, go stock photo if you must, people just skip over things without a pic.

and lately, people skip over ones with a pic that isnt also a gallery photo (when a thumbnail is next to the auction in the ebay search list and not just a green square)
