So, I bought Final Cut Express hoping to mix some videos in my spare time, but the semester's pace has picked up to the point where I don't have any spare time at all!
As the heading says, it's the latest version, universal binary, includes LiveType and Soundtrack, still wrapped in the small-ish packaging Apple seems fond of these days.
Model number: MA261Z/A

So, why pay 200?
Because not everyone is a student? (http://guides.macrumors.com/Help:Marketplace_Rules#Rules_for_Buyers_and_Traders)

Because if you'd read the license, you'd know that the student version can not be used for commercial purposes. In simple terms, if you wanted to charge Auntie Mary $100 for her Wedding video you edited for her in FCE, LEGALLY, you couldn't if you had the student version. It doesn't SEEM like a big deal, but those of us who make a living off these programs make damn sure we have the appropriate license.
