I have a friend who bought a 12inch Pb, anways he's American and lives in the Uk. He needs to be able to play both British and American DVDs, who has a link to the exact file he would need. I found sites with a list of all the different region-free hacks. I need one that will work with the 12inch. Thanks!

I know one method would be to copy the dvd to the hardrive using dvdbackup and you can select the dvd region that you want it to be or you can even choose for it to be region-free.

I flashed my Powerbook G4 15" (DVD), a 500 iBook (DVD) and my Tower (DVD-RAM) to region-free. He'll need Region X software too... do a search.

You'll need to use DVD Info to tell you what drive you've got...

Then find the appropriate firmware.
All firmware flashes are done at your own risk. Search the forums to check successes and failures.
