I know its blasphemy to sell a PC on a mac forum but it's for a good cause I swear! :p
This thread is a feeler to see if anything might be interested in buying my PC so I can take the money and put it towards a iMac.
It's less than a year old (except the case) but it has some nice parts.
I am at work right now and cant be 100% sure what the specs are. What spec's I have listed are correct, what I have left out I will fill in later when I get home.
Zalman CNPS9500 CPU fan. 25$
AMD X2 3800+ 85$
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe 90$
2x512MB RAM (DDR 400) 50$ SOLD!!!
BFG Geforce 7600GT 256MB PCI-e 16x SLI (dual DVI connectors) 75$ SOLD!!!
80GB SATA2 HD SOLD!!!
250GB SATA2 HD 50$ SOLD!!!
Plextor PX-740a 30$ SOLD!!!
Plextor PX-708a 25$ SOLD!!!
500 Thermaltak PurePower power supply 45$ (Updated Price)
Floppy Drive!!!! SOLD!!!
I am hoping that a system like this would fetch me 500US$....I am hoping. What does everyone else think? :)
EDIT: the case is a Lanboy case with plexiglass window on the side + soft blue cold cathod light for lookin'
EDIT2: Lowering asking price now that I have a full assessment of what's really in my case + i have pics!, I know its dusty as hell but it will get a complete clean by me before it is sent off.

I will up pictures as soon as I get home (finishing up work for the day as we speak).

I think your price is pretty fair. It's a decent basic setup, won't blow any benchmarks, but decent machine for PC use, surfing, little gaming, etc. Problem is custom-built PC's often don't sell for what they should for lack of warranty, among other things. Good luck!
P.S. Nice case by the way, Lanboy's are great.

EDIT: I am not firm on 650US$ FYI
I would certainly hope not, as I seriously doubt that you will get anything even close to that for it around here :)
Not that there's anything wrong with it per se, it's a nice machine and all, but truthfully, it just isnt anything all that special either........ :)
You'd probably make more $$ by parting it out. I'm sure there are some folks here that would take those HDD's, Ram and Opticals off your hands for some reasonable prices.........and the rest could be sold on any peecee forum, like this one, for example (a very high-volume site): http://www.hardforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17

I got less then that for a machine with basically the same specs, but with 2GB ram. Took me forever to sell it, too.
Just so everyone knows, this IS NOT SLI. Dude, two DVI ports doesn't make it SLI. SLI is when you have two physical cards in two physical slots - I'm not sure if your motherboard even supports SLI.

Actually it does. How do I know? Because I have it, with two 7900 GT's in SLI :)
P.S. To the OP, you originally had the 4200+ X2 listed, now it's the 3800+, that affects my opinion I made earlier...probably won't get as much.

Yea it does support SLI
I am probably going to ask only 500$ for it, does that sound good to everyone else? I am sure i can sell it by parts but I was kind of hoping that I could sell it all for something like 500$ and get it off my hands,
yea I had 4200+ on it earlier, and i also had other spec's but when I got home to actually look at my box, i made the correct changes (and even added more info) and am not as firm on the price as I started. I hope to get anything for this box, i think the lowest i want to go is 500$.
If you really think I will get more out of it selling it piece by piece, I could try that. I know that a full custom built system wont sell as a whole, as much as selling it part by part. If that's the case, I will probably start trying to sell this thing in pieces near the end of next week.
P.S. the 3800 has been able to easily OC to higher speeds, if that changes your opinion back :)

told u so, hehehe
Paypal does offer some security, fast transfer of funds, ALOT of people have it, and it makes tracking/shipping/payments for multiple orders a bit less confusing.
You could always have people send you money orders, but then you have to wait on snailmail & for them to clear your bank before being sure you can actually get the money........

Ok I have paypal setup,
I have some offers but nothing final yet so if anyone wants any of the parts, let me know, its for sale in parts. I get massive discounts with Fedex so I will take care of shipping costs (if that's normal that the shipper pays for shipping).

What brand? I assume this is PC3200? Buffered? Unbuffered? CL/CAS speed? etc...
Seller references?
Thanks.

sorry, yea I Should be more specific
2x512MB DDR2 3200 Micron non-ecc i believe, and I'm sorry, I have no idea what the CL/CAS speed it is capable off but the typical 2.5-3-3-5 i believe. Sorry I couldn't be more specific. Seller references? I have sold five things so far (as indicated above) and no one has gotten on this thread to chew me out for being shady. :)

Cant seem to get ahold of TheBurninator to sel the Processor and Motherboard
So they are up for grabs again until otherwise :)
P.S. In order to sell more parts of a computer I don't want anymore, if things are bought in sets, I will lower the price to help try and sell these remaining items! :)

I received the video card in rather short order. The turnaround was about 2 or 3 days, and it was well packed. So thanks, phillipjfry -- I'll look for your name again. :)

Understandable, keep your PM's available so I can make sure you are still interested.

Yea. Leave it up to Windows to make copying itself a pain in the butt :p
Glad you received your stuff just fine. Enjoy!
