But understand that those aren't Apple headphones; they're some crappy Chinese third-party headphones...hence the value is about 1/4 of what they're charging, even given as *low* as it is now.

Yup. 99% of "iPod" earphones on ebay are knockoffs.

Be careful of what you buy if you decide to go the ebay route.
