Anyone got a superdrive or combo drive cable for the first generations Tibook?

I am telling you, MR has made me a smart aleck, I burned through the b.s. at a local Apple retail with ACTechs who did not know what they were talking about.

There is a cable set up to replace the old fat DVD/CD rom drives in the original Tibooks -- I have the brackets and a combo drive but not the correct cable. The original cable is the wrong configuration.

Anyone got a dead old tibook that they either had upgraded to combo or superdrive or anyone got the old fat DVD/CD rom drive that works? Thanks!!!

What model Tibook did you have? The most important part is the cable from logic board to optical drive -- let me know the cpu of the PB and THANKS in any case.

It came out of a TiBook 500. Here is the part number on the drive DVD-ROM SR-8187 and it does have the little cable that connects to the logic board
