I have an orginal style 20 inch Apple Cinema Display LCD that I bought in September or October 2003. The display has never even been unboxed. I still have the receipt from the purchase. It has been stored in the supply room of my office, in a temperature controlled environment.

I was wondering what my fellow Mac users think that it is worth, with a return policy of about 30 days from date received.

I use another one, exact same model (purchased February 2003) on my desk every day and love it. This one is untouched, meaning the Apple seal was never even broken.

I was hoping for around $450 obo.
If I can't get anywhere near that then I will probably just give it to my brother or girlfriend.

Any useful advice or reasonable idea of its value?

Besides, it's outdated, it sucks and please sell it to me for $200

Wow. O_O

Question : How do you end up with an unopened display like this? How can anyone afford to spend that much on a monitor then let it sit. T-T

Its gonna get you around 500-600, if not more, since some people prefer this look to the newer look of the Aluminum ones.

$500 - $600? Thats what you can spend on a modern 24'' display!

$300-$400 is reasonable, but I'd never spend that much on an ancient LCD that shouldn't have cost that much in the first place. I'm just going by eBay prices.

$500-600? Not a chance. I'd say $350 or so. And that may be pushing it.

You can get a brand new Dell 20" E207WFP monitor with DVI connection, the same resolution, 300 cd/m2 brightness, and 800:1 contrast for $220. I realize it's a dell, but it's also 4 years newer, under warranty, and with much better tech.

I think your best bet is eBay, and hope that a collector comes across your auction.
