Seems like it's going to be awesome. Did I read that right, less than 10 tracks? Sheesh, I just hope that they do online updates of new tracks. :rolleyes: But I'm definitely getting it for online play!

The lack of tracks kinda sucks, quality over quantity is best but less than 10?

Gald to hear the online is fun, since I don't have to pay for PS3 online I will actually use it!

Here's hoping for updated tracks/cars/modes/whatever over time!

I'm disappointed it didn't get a 9.0, I think PS3 could really use another 9+ game, but I'm still looking forward to buying it.

Yeah, a little off-topic, but it looks like this month is the time to get a PS3! There's a big crop of awesome games coming! Motorstorm, FEAR (if you don't have a PC or Xbox360 version...), Tekken Dark Resurrection, Virtua Tennis, NBA Street Homecourt, etc.

Wow, looks like we've got a lot of decent games finally coming out for the PS3. I'm about to check if I can download Dark Resurrection right now...It's already March 1st over where I live :D Oh, and there's also a System Update to 1.54, video chat capabilities!

AHH I am soooo waiting for that! It'll be my first Blu-ray purchase! I held off on buying DVDs and the first crop of Blu-rays, mainly because I want releases that use the newer codecs, and not MPEG-2. Dude, this month I'll easily spend about $300. Gotta break the bank sooner or later :D I've been waiting for this moment! Motorstorm here I come!

seems the 10 tracks and 'lasting appeal' were the areas the game suffered. Otherwise it would be a 9+ game.

^Maybe they will add more to it in downloads or something...I have a feeling that more is coming for this game. IGN did say that the online play was flawless...now thats cool.

I may or may not buy this, I just bought F1 yesterday (LOVE IT) so I am not sure yet if I wlll buy Motorstorm. Though with my buying habits and the fact that i already own 7 PS3 games and 8 Wii games chances are better than not that i will buy it :p

Their complaints seem legitimate to me. And 8.9 is a damn good score.

The average ranking for the JPN version was 8.6 and they have made many improvements since its release there.
(although according to IGN it was only .4 % worth of improvements - olol) I was expecting 9.0+
But then again, thats probably what I'll "rate" it myself after I put it in my PS3 and start to play it.

btw - expect this game to get a TON of online "goodies"

In other words, the old ones made for the pS2 are NOT compatible. Does anyone know anything else about this???

Where would you plug it in? The PS3 doesn't have any PS1/PS2 controller ports.

They sell USB adapters....make sure your controller is compatible though

That's exactly what I was asking: apparently, you can't plug in the old PS2 steering wheels to the PS3 because the ports are incompatible. Although, the poster above apparently has no problem using the steering wheel with his or her PS3.

The logitech steering wheel is USB i think ? Or is that just their pc ones ?
