Feeler/FS: 3rd Gen iPod 5GB + iTrip w/ LCD

I'm thinking about selling my 3rd Gen iPod. This was originally a 15GB iPod, but the HD died and I replaced it with a 5GB drive. I got the 5GB drive from a company, not used (it could be refurbished), so it has plenty of life left in it.

The iPod itself is in OK condition. There are some markings on the side from opening it, some scratches on the back and some on the front.

The iPod works great, but needs a new battery. The current battery does hold a charge, and works good enough for the way I use it. I usually charge it right before I'm going to use it, and have listened to audio books/music for up to an hour and it still had battery left. Batteries for these are about $6. I can buy one and do the replacement for a little extra if someone is interested in that.

USB cable and wall charger included, no headphones. EDIT: I have an iTrip with LCD to include as well. It works great and on international mode you can use the FM 87's so you don't get hardly any interference at all.

Me too. I traded my 5th gen for one. I would buy that for around $85 tops if wanted one.

To be honest, not really. Feel free to PM me an offer (that goes for anyone). Don't be afraid to offer something...I won't get offended.

Also, sorry for the bad pictures. I just took them and it's really dark in here so they came out like crap. I will replace them with better ones tomorrow!

Update: Added new, clearer, brighter pictures. I am now including an iTrip with LCD as well, so you can listen to the iPod through a radio (FM tuner).

I've even more serious about selling it now, as I really only use my Shuffle and would like the money for other things. Still not sure on a price, but I will review all offers, so if you are interested just PM me!

When your opened it to put thenew hard drive in, did the plastic and metal go back together well? Does it line up straight? I tried to tell from the pics but I'm not sure.

I am not the original owner of this iPod, I bought it when the HD was broken, and then I replaced it. The previous owner must have opened it up to check out the hard drive because they bent the metal up in one spot a little bit.

When I installed the HD (and I opened it with my nylon non-marking iPod tools, I straightened the metal out, and it looks great now.

There are a few marks on one spot on the side where the plastic meets the metal, probably from someone prying it open. Here's a picture, it's not that bad, not even really noticeable:

The way the plastic is, it almost like blends in.
