I'm seriously considerring selling my Dual 867Mhz G4 Tower (MDD). I bought it in November direct from Apple Store Online with 512MB Ram and a 60GB Hard Drive and the A04 Superdrive (2x DVD-R) and the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 64MB DDR Video Card (ADC+DVI). I deleted the 56k modem from this when I ordered it so there is no dial-up modem included (but it still has the gigabit 1000/100/10 ethernet/LAN of course.

I have since upgraded it with the following:

- Added 2x IBM/Hitachi 120GB 2MB Cache Hard Drives (ATA100) -- total no is 300GB HDD (120GB + 120GB + original 60GB hdd)
- Added 24x10x24 Lite-On CD-RW drive in second 5.25 drive slot
- Added 1 Stick 512MB PC2100 (133MhzDDR) and 1 stick 256MB PC2100 RAM for total of 1.25GB (with original 512MB) Still one slot open for more RAM!
- Added a ATI RADEON 7000 PCI card (DVI+VGA+S-Video) so that it now has S-Video out and up to 5 (3 digital 1 analog + TV)monitors!
- I have installed the Power Supply upgrade for these MDD PowerMacs and this computer runs VERY quiet now. No need to worry about noise.. it's hard to tell it is on sometimes -- honestly!

The computer is in the absolute best shape that it could be in. No scratches, nothing. I have all original documentation, packaging, box, CD's everything.. I'll even include all my Mac OS X upgrade CD's that I've gotten over the past 6 months.. (10.2.x -- can't remember latest CD i have...)

I am a long time Mac user (since '92 when I was young). I have owned a Performa 467, and upgraded it, a Rev. A iMac (also upgraded) and a Pismo 500 Powerbook (sold before the G4 upgrade came out)... I am now selling the Dual Powermac becaue I am looking to buy (upgrade) to a newer Powermac in a month or so and need to free up some cash.

If I don't get enough to make selling worth it, I won't. But I want to through the info out here and see what you guys think. I'm taking offers and I don't want to have to go to ebay... I'm figuring that the money I have in this machine is around $2500 so I'll not be taking a thousand bux or something nuts like that... Even though this isn't the latest thing anymore.. it merits at least $1900 in my book...

you can post on here or email me....

thanks you guys..

(BTW  .. I'm not as new as I appear -- I've had to change my name recently due to someone taking over my account and getting me in trouble... if any of you guys remember Spikey, Kela, John123 and Jethatfield from old, then you know I have been around a few years.... the users here have turned around a coupel times since then though... )

Later folks! ;)

Almost forgot.. I bought the computer with the 17" Studio Display as well.. and if the computer sells, I'll be selling the Display as well.. Asking $600 but might take less if sold together with the computer...

Again, it is in Mint condition, no scratches.. it's the kind with the USB ports on back, ADC connection, 17" flat panel (same as currently being sold). Was $999 when purchased, now is like $699 or $799 -- can't remember... All original box, doc's, etc... just like new -- no stuck pixels whatsoever.

You would probably pull somewhere around 15 - 16 hundred.

*hmm*

it's almost like someone selling something like that and asking that much would explain why they were getting rid of it.

oh wait. they did...

127.0.0.1 is a loopback address. It just connects to your own computer, assuming you're running an FTP server.

It's a joke! Funny!
