What contract?
I assume he's talking about the cross investment thing that happened at mw years ago... with MS pledging to develop office and apple would use IE as their browser.
Anyway... no - nothing was officially renewed... but the Microsoft Business unit (mac dev) was quoted as saying that they will continue to produce office because it makes a lot of money.

I wonder if MS Office will still make lots of money once Apple gets the rest of their office apps out (Keynote etc). I guess some people would still like the "Microsoft Assurance" - they're using an official MS product which is going to be most compatible with Office for Windows.

I also seem to remember M$ "mentioning" to Apple that Office v X wasn't selling to their satisfaction, because OS X wasn't selling well enough.
