I'm looking for a cheap Powermac G4 that's above 500Mhz for audio editing. It should be able to run OS 9/Dual Boot. Simple as that.

Thanks

I got a 450 Mhz G4. I can let it go a lot cheaper than anyone else cause Im in Canada too. Plus this is the least specced out G4 you can find (in otherwards cheapest). So if you are interested. PM me or e-mail me with a price your looking to pay.

In terms of "cheap" I mean sub-$500. (CAD)

Are my specs too low? I can easily do below $500 CAD.

They may be a bit low. He's trying to get an OS 9 machine that will beat his Graphite iMac DV. This computer is for my father, and I must consult with him about the specs.

Amazing how people read the marketplace before posting WTB threads ...

Some people like to have more than one option. Also, its quite tough to ship to Canada, so it might be a lot harder to arrange for that computer to be purchased. Maybe people should think before posting replies.

According to this article. Its two steps up over that computer. Its going from Base-Mid to Mid-High. I think its a good lift. I also have a G3. But if you dont want the G4, I doubt youll want the G3. :)

Good point. I was in a Megahertz myth mentality :o , thinking only about clock speed. How much are you willing to let it go for? (I'm comparing a few machines right now)

I did read that thread before posting. Thanks for the link, though.
