1024mhz, I'm not sure what the pre-installed ram is but it has a 512mb one under the airport extreme...
It needs a combo drive and a hard drive in order to fully function, battery and logic board were replaced not to long ago, right b4 applecare ran out. With my luck, the hard drive and superdrive failed nearly the same time. =/ Super drive went out then a few weeks later the hard drive went.
Was wondering what I could expect to get out of it as is? Or if it's worth buying a new hard drive and combo drive?

Is this a 1Ghz model? If so, I have one too. They are about $499 nowadays.

Nice... ironically I would have traded an upgraded clamshell iBook (tangerine) but I doubt that would fly by ya :D

So it doesn't sound like a terrible investment, as long as I can get a new hard drive, power adapter and combo drive for all under $300.

Well I'm still not sure what it's entirely worth in it's current state, needing a combo drive and a hard drive.

I don't know... with computers like my 12" powerbook selling for 500-700 nowdays you might wanna sell your ibook and put that 300 in a shiny 'new' powerbook.

Well I just ordered a combo drive off ebay for $47 shipped, not bad! Now all I need is a hard drive and new power adapter.
I'll be happy if I can get anywhere near $500 when it's properly working.
Does around $225 shipped in it's current state sound fair?

Well here's an update, I got a new drive in the macbook and when I boot it without holding alt I get the folder icon blinking between a question mark and finder icon on the folder icon.
And when I try and boot from an external encluser with a cd drive I just bought yesterday (although open box item at fry's) I can hear the cd drive spin up during boot but no icon shows under the boot menu. It could be either the open box external enclosure or something else I've got no Idea. But I'm also expecting a combo drive to arive this week or early nextweek.
Meh the laptop seems more trouble than it's worth... If someone still wants it to try and fix it I'll throw in the combo drive as well, if you have a reasonable offer throw it at me. Please take into account I paid $47 for the combo drive as well. Thanks.
Please read the first post as well for more info!
