Alrighty, I'm trying to make some space, so I'm getting rid of some things I just do not need right now. If you're interested in anything, please PM me or post here. Feel free to give me your best offers if you think a price is too high. All prices include shipping.

I am currently not really looking for any trades, unless you have a nice new bike saddle or some new pedals :p . Then we can talk deal!

333Mhz PowerMac G3 (Beige) - $15
This is the motherboard, power supply, and CPU w/heatsink from a beige tower G3. It's a 300Mhz G3, clocked at (IIRC) 333Mhz with the jumpers. Ran stable, even when folding. All you need is a hard drive, and you're in business! I'll even throw in a 32MB RAM stick for it!

Powerbook 5300cs - *sold*
I got this as a parts machine for my other 5300, but no longer need it, so out it goes. Missing three keys and no battery. Comes with a power supply. Has a purple tint to the screen, photo will be up soon.

USB 1.1 PCI Card - $8
This is a card I used in the above PowerMac for a loooong time (got it before USB 2.0 was standard!). A great way to add USB to an older system.

I'll take it! What's your PayPal email?

Ok! Dropped prices on everything! The keyboard is now only $35 shipped, and the G3 is only $25 shipped! It's even packed up and ready to go.

Come on! I need to move this stuff! It'll just get dumped otherwise!

Edit: Reason: inappropriate use of the word "jubblies"

What????

Im glad someone else could use the PB. I would hate for you to have thrown it away. That is why I basically offered shipping.

Anyway, good luck!

you could give a counter-offer. i'm willing to negotiate.

Look, a regular Apple USB keyboard is $29. Offering me $20 shipped for a bluetooth one is frankly insulting. I'm willing to go to $35 shipped. If you can do that, awesome. If not, please don't throw out low-ball offers in the hopes that I'll be stupid enough to bite.

i'm a broke college student. money is a limited resource right now. so i offered you what i can do at the particular moment. i wasn't trying to insult you in any way, i am just offering what i have available to me. like i said i would be willing to negotiate. but i can't do $35.

Ok, the wireless keyboard has been sold. I also dropped the price on the G3, as I just want it out of here already.

Everything has shipped (Saturday) or will ship tomorrow morning, sorry I fell a bit behind. I'll be sending it Priority Mail to catch up.

Hey hey kids! The PowerMac is still available, and just wasting away in a box, all alone! Price has been dropped!

Also, I cleaned out all my PM's this morning, and this afternoon I got back the Powerbook from whoever I mailed it to. Please contact me if it was you. The mail lady said that they tried to deliver it, left notes, and it was never picked up from the post office. So... yeah. You should PM me, thanks.

As you know, that was me. Please read the PM I sent below. I am trying to make sure you get this asap so that I can arrange a solution before I am out of touch for the next two weeks:

Hey, good to hear from you, I cleaned out my PM's the other day, and must have deleted your message. I posted back in the original thread hoping you'd see it:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=3602408&postcount=23

Basically, I got the package back on Monday, with a big "Unclaimed" stamped over the address. The lady who delivers my mail said they most likely put notes in your box that it was being held at the Post Office, but no one claimed it.

-Alex

I sent it Monday, in a Priority Mail box, so it should hopefully be getting there today?

- Alex

That sounds great. My PayPal address is ...edit.... Please make sure to include your shipping address with payment.

Thanks,
Alex

I'll take the 5300 for $15. Let me know.

Hey. did you send this? I just wanted to give my wife a heads-up when to look for it in the mail. Thanks!

Haven't heard back from you. No way a priority box would take this long. So if you have the receipt or whatever, I'd like to contact the post office. Thanks!

Nope. My wife said she checked the mail every day and there were no notices. Also, she tells me she was home for the past two weeks all morning until about 6 or 7pm as she had to do experiments at night and the guy who delivers packages (there are two different postal carriers at our place - one for mail and one for packages) never rang the bell. He did deliver three OTHER packages during the same period, however, which she DID receive. A bit odd that your mailcarrier would claim it would be returned to you after TWO weeks when the Post Office policy is to hold packages for THREE weeks (and three notices). I'm not going to be available on any consistent basis for the next two weeks. After that I'll be returning to Chicago. I'd appreciate following up on this either before this Saturday or after I return to Chicago.

Quick and easy solution... a couple buddies and several family members are willing to meet to pick up the item in the Chicagoland Area. Pick a public place and time in the next few days and get back to me before Saturday at around 2300 Chicago time. I'll have one of them with access to this acct and my email get back to you with where and when one of them will pick up.

I would also like it in the box with the "...big UNCLAIMED stamped on it..." as I want to address this (and several other issues my wife reports with the mail carriers) upon my return and nip it in the bud.

The box with its date/time stamp, return address and "UNCLAIMED" stamp will help when my wife and I confront the package delivery mail carrier and the regular mail carrier. Like I said there are two separate ones and only the regular mail carrier leaves notices in the mail box. The package mail carrier does not have keys to the mailboxes and, as such cannot leave notices (and doesn't as he has been instructed to just leave anything not requiring a signature in the secure area at our door - which he has done and continues to do - as of yesterday at least as my wife states she received a package then - EXCEPT for the package you sent...)

That's why I want to address this with him and figure out what really happened. What your mail carrier told you makes no sense as the only person who leaves notices (my regular mail carrier) would not have been the one to deliver the package and the package mail carrier would not have been able to and does not ever leave notices at all. Let alone the fact that the postal service SOP is to hold an item for THREE weeks/THREE notices and not the less than TWO weeks/ZERO notices in this case.

Thanks.

I know this isn't any of my business, but the US mail can sometimes make no sense. Every time I get a mailman trained, I get a fresh one who screws everything up, and gives my paychecks to the neighbors!

Also, I have dealt with Living before, and he does things right. You shouldn't have a problem resolving things.

Hey, sorry for the slow responses, I'm out of town right now for the weekend. Yeah, it's still in it's box, so I'd gladly meet up with whomever to give it to them. I'll PM you the details of when I'm available, and whatnot.

Know it's been a while but I tried to PM you when I got back to the US and you're not accepting them. see the message I tried to send below for clarification:

Hey. Sorry it's been so long but I got a bit banged up before I got out of Iraq. Just made it back to Chicago last week or so.

Do you even still have the laptop?

Hi, sorry for the slow responses, I hope you get this. I'm out of Chicago this weekend, but will be back Monday morning. I could meet with whomever to hand this over, it's still in the shipping box, too.
