Hey guys, I'm looking to get my sister a Mac Laptop for herself instead of her always using my MacBook Pro.

She'd be willing to go the distance and buy a MacBook for under 900 dollars, or she'd rather get a decent iBook G4 for under 600. I want this to last her long enough.

Thanks guys.

What does your sister use it for? I would say either an ibook for under $450 or a newer macbook. If its just for writing word docs, surfing the internet, just go with a cheapo ibook. If she is going to be using iLife a lot then just go with a Macbook.

We are leaning towards the iBook because she doesn't need to do anything real intense, all she does is use Microsoft Office, Safari, and iTunes.

Watch Apple's Refurbished store. They sometimes have pretty good MacBooks for $849 and free shipping! Apple told me they update the site every.....Wednesday.

Hope it helps!!! :D
