Hi,
I was just wondering if there are any good new file sharring apps out there. I mainly use acquisition and drumbeat. limewire never works. Any good new stuff like these or ftp/hotline style stuff out there? What's the etree one all about?

its odd you know your question is common by the title
I'm not going to list but i suggest oyu do a few searches for file sharing p2p and things like that and get a general consesus , this topic has been talked to death.... if you have a PC get emule, i'm also a fan of bittorrents for bigger things.

Why is it that the first thing switchers care about is file sharing? *sigh*

The reason why switches want p2p is because they just lost the use of there software from windows onto mac so the theory is that if you download the software for mac your covered on both machines...
Perosnly downloading stuff of p2p is a large open gamble mainly for windows users as it can have seirous side effects in the long run ie major virus dumy files and god only knows what else your gona get..
Oh and its the cost of buying new softwre as well... exspensive stuff.....

Hotline, KDX, and my favoret... Carracho
I run a Hotline and a carracho server... but not for the reasons that most people run them. I prefer Carracho.
Im a long time Carracho user and community memeber.
