OK, so I installed a green 333mhz jumper block , C Rom and a 333 zif on my minitower g3. And I Start it up and change the resolution from 1024x 768 to1280x 1024 ( or 1152x 870) and it does this weird thing to the botom part to the screen (see pic) BUt in thousand of colors it doesnt have this prob. On millions it does. Does it have to do with the zif or someting? I reinstalles 9.2.2.

What exactly is this weirdness you are trying to show everyone? More details please.

Yeah, the only problems I can see are compression artifacts.

Same here I just see jpeg compression artifacting. What's the deal.

In any case I would run in thousands anyway with that computer. In OS9 with that machine it can easily make a 5-10% difference in overal system speed.

same here, it looks odd to me...The only odd thing I noticed was that the control strip was on the opisite side...I didn't know you could do that :p

I see what you are talking about now with those later pictures. It could very easily be your zif upgrade or bad memory somewhere. I've seen this with bad VRam before. As I have said before though I don't recommend running your system with millions in the first place the speed advantage with thousands is quite noticeable and there is hardly a difference in quality for the majority of programs.

I would put the old processor back in and see if the problem goes away. Who did you buy the upgrade from?
