Eu bans Amazon One-Click style patents

Yahoo reports that the European Parliment has introduced new patent laws; including banning "business method" style patents; such as Amazon's One-Click shopping.

It should be interesting to see what effect this has on Apple; as one of the few licensees of One Click shopping; as well as the general effect of having such different patent laws between the US and the EU.

It's about time. The US system is absolutely idiotic. True innovation is not about routine business practices, if it were then a rolodex method for keeping track of frequent customers' info should be patentable.
