Ok. So I'm Canadian, so I don't get to take full advantage of the iTunes Store because a lot of the really "good stuff" (like movies) is on the US Store and I only have the Canadian store.

I was thinking about how I could buy things from the american store. SO this is my question.

If I buy a iTunes gift card from the USA can I use to make a pre-paid US account so I can buy things from the store? OR, if there is some easier way to buy things from a different store (I'm thinking maybe I'd want things from the UK store too) could you let me know. THANKS!

The Stig

Yes, you can buy a US card and set up a pre-paid account. You just go to Redeem Card in the iTunes store and set up the account that way. As you're setting up a pre-paid account, you won't need to provide a US Credit Card.

I'm from the UK and I did this recently with a US card I bought from eBay.

Yup it works flawlessly...or some I'm told.

Every once in a while, people from other country will post an ad in the market place asking for a US iTunes Card

This violates the Apple iTunes Terms of Service (US (http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/service.html), Canada (http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/ca/service.html)) which states that you may not "use or attempt to use the Service from outside of the available territory".
