Mint condition MiniStack V1, with the AC adapter, and the foot-long USB and FW cables. I don't have the original box anymore. The front and side are scratchless.
I'm looking for $45 shipped?

Is it bootable, and do you still have the software?

Hey superw:
This is the thing that goes with the mac mini? I'm interested. Let me know what else I need besides hard drive to get this going?

I am also interested.. does this take a 3.5 in HD or a smaller notebook size one?

Replies to the queries:
1) Yes, it is bootable via the FW. Not tried with the USB though. I don't believe it came with software. You don't need software for this baby.
2) The form factor perfectly fits the Mac Mini. You'll only need the HDD to get it going.
3) It takes 3.5" PATA HDD.

What is the difference between V1 and V2? Is it just the smart start/shutdown feature?

Honestly, the only difference I know is that the V2 has some ports on the side, which in my view spoils the clean look of the MiniStack.

A side note, you can only boot from USB with an Intel Mac.

not true
For the most part it is true. From what I've read the only pre-intel macs that can boot off of a USB drive were some of the slot loading iMacs. These iMacs were new enough to support USB booting and old enough to natively boot OS 9. OS X can not be booted however. I have not heard of any non-intel mac booting OS X from a USB drive.

You can't, only mods can. Best to leave this open so that both the buyer and seller can post later to say how the transaction ultimately played out.
