Well, I had asked for this a while back, and a kind forum member had offered to meet with me and help me out, but I got really busy and dropped the ball on that so I guess I need to make this request again...

I'd really like to get my hands on a copy of System 7.6 on floppies. If you have this and would be willing to let it go cheap, lemme know. Or, if you have a copy you're not using, and wouldn't mind letting me borrow the disks to do an install on a computer of mine, I could pay shipping both ways.

It's really hard to find these, oddly enough, and the only copies that seem to pop up on eBay are CD-ROMs.

Let me know!

I may just have some, somewhere.

I'll have a look for you but if someone else has some, take 'em.

Well, last time it took a long while until I got even that one response, so if you find 'em PM me. Thanks!

Was that dpaanlka (http://forums.macrumors.com/member.php?u=43268)? I noticed he's in our state and runs a site all about System 7. If not, try him

Yup! But he's off at school or something, I dilly-dallied too long and I guess he left town.

Mac OS 7.5.3 is free from Apple's website, in 19 floppy disk images.

I know, but I'm looking for 7.6.

I might have this - what computer system did it originally come with?

It may help with rummaging through all my Apple collection...

Oh, I don't know for sure... I know my Duo 210 came with 7.5, so I'm guessing it came after that by a little while.

Here's the eBay auction for the floppies you might have just missed. Contact the seller to see if he has another copy...

According to this website, you may only need the CD and transfer them to floppies:

The CD thing is interesting, I wonder if thats somehow done directly from the CD, or if they just had a copy of the floppies they made more from and provided those with CD's.
