1. there is no 3gig iPod.

2. The remote is the same for all old-model iPods, and i think all new model ones as well-- could be wrong about that tho...

1. I Met 3 Gen. (Dock)

2. 1g & 2g iPods remotes are the same. 3g Have a different connector.

I am sorry but 3G means 3rd generation... just like G3; 3GB means 3 gigabyte--not 3G (I know its easy to mistake that).
(Just wanted to clear this up with everyone)
The remote on the new iPod is different.

I have already e-mailed you, but I have a 3G(eneration) remote that I only used once, and I would be willing to sell to you. I will jsut ship it in a regular envelope.
