hey icetraxxG5,
are you only on audio because you connect via dial up? I'm wondering becasue all I have right now is a 56K dial-up (come on DSL in my area....). If so, how good is the sound quality....?

Your family owns a store that sells macs, right? Here's what you can do... Setup iSight's on all of the display computers, and put instructions on how they can talk to each other, or talk to an employee at the desk live... It would be really cool, IMHO..

I would post, but I already have int he past and I think it would cause more bad than good. I usually have AIM on, but I'm rarely at the computer. I just have it on the setting where all IM's get forwarded to my cell phone and I can't respond.
BTW - vniow, A friend of yours sent me a couple of messages that went kind of like this:
them: hello??!?
(I couldn't respond, i was in class on my cell phone)
them: is this vniow?
them: oh no, sorry.
them: I am using up your cell phone messages aren't I?
them: caching
them: caching
them: caching
hehe, I got a kick out of reading that in class. I forgot his/her name, sorry.

I have Cable and the audio is pretty good quality... It hiccups sometimes and that gets annoying.

mine's in my profile.
Since I don't have any friends...I mean since I don't have any friends that chat, this will be a nice way to actually use this.
I'm on cable, no vid, audio only - assuming it works

No video, nothing faster than dial-up...
Don't care for the iChat AV audio portion. I'll use a phone instead.
AIM username: don't message me. (That's not the real one. Profile...)

Well, my IM is SuperMegaGroov. Anyone is welcome to IM anytime I am on. I have video and audio. I will admit that video/audio chat is akward with people I don't know is a bit akward. The conversation usually amounts to:
Me: Hello. Them:Hello. Me: This is pretty cool. Them: Yep. Me:Yep. Them:Yep. Me: Okay then... Them: Okay.. Bye.
I did have a question...Every time I do a 1way video chat (me on camera, them not), I get comments like "Wow! That sure is good quality picture". When I do 2way video chat, it dosent look all that good to me. Kinda choppy and blurry. IS this a bandwidth issue, or am i just too picky?

Mine is in the profile. I'm going to try and bring home the microphone from work tomorrow so I can try it on my Mac. I'll probably be bugging a few people here that I don't know. I don't personally know anyone with a Mac who has iChat installed.
So, you you're also wanting to try it out too, try me on iChat.
