Hey Everyone,

I'm looking for a Camcorder with good video quality for under $320.

JVC is a preferred brand, and so is Canon.
I'm especially looking for a JVC Everio GZ-MG130!

What i plan on doing is looking at reviews on the camcorders you may offer.
So it's a sort of different way of doing it...i'm picky :P

Thanks for looking...please make an offer!! Everything is considered.

I have feedback on Ebay under "gwh236".

Just so you know, most (if not all) consumer hard drive or dvd based camcorders do NOT work with Macs.

I'd recommend you get a MiniDV camera.

Yea...i know. I found a program to take care of that problem. It converts the .mod file on the Everio to a .mov or something.

Thanks for the heads up!!

Sorry for the stupid question ... i should convert .mov files into what?

2 of the programs that I heard about are DVdrop and ffmpegx.

What do you think of your Canon?? Is is a HD or DVD model??

It's a miniDVD one. I thought it would be great to have my videos directly on a dvd, but I already regret I haven't chosen a good, "old" dv one! I can't load the miniDVD directly on my macbook pro, so I have used the HD on my TV DVD player/ recorder to burn a "regular" dvd. Now I have realized that I can watch the videos on my mac, not edit them with iMovie    Also, I have made some pictures, but I can't find them on the disc! Too bad, because the camera in itself is easy to use and the quality of images is great.
