This is possibly the funniest show I've ever seen.

Ummmmm its kinda hard to explain so I'll do a magic trick

Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. The funniest show you've never heard of. My dad let me voice mail to watch it without describing what I was to see. I won't be so mean to you: Take Japanese game show from the 80's which has massive overly-elaborate physical stunts and challenges that would make any safety officer cry (already funny by itself) and replace the dialog NOT with a direct translation, but something original and too funny to explain. Picture the crew from Mystery Science Theater 3000 giving the job to re-dub American Gladiators, only the contestants are your everyday Japanese citizens (not beefed up), and they suspend those challenges over dirty lakes, mud, and more.

Okay, the bad news: It's on TNN, which I consider as much a waste of network bandwidth as I do any religious channel or infomercial channel. Their whole network is based off of Star Trek reruns and bad wrestling. Even sadder, this show is not mentioned on the network's web site besides in their schedule. Maybe a more worthy network is trying to pick up the show.

Most Extreme Elimination Challenge is on Saturdays at 9pm and Sundays at 8pm, they show two 30 minute episodes back to back. My girlfriend and I both find it hilarious, and we've added it to our required comedy watching along with The Daily Show, Simpsons, and once I find the DVD set (sold out everywhere I went the day it came out), Family Guy.
called copy/paste.

Y'all have gotta watch this show. It is ****ing hillarious.

I've been watching it since it came out. The impacts alone are worth watching. It took a second to understand and get into the groove of the overdubbing, but now it's hysterical as a whole.

I know it's lifted from Takeshi's Castle, but didn't know it was from the 80's. Kinda wish they'd do something like that here.

This show is utter gold. It's one of the funniest things on TV.

I love the random team names they pick.

I don't receive the TNN network, too bad it's not on Fox!

lol, the one on last night when they were runnign across the turtles (in the water) had the funniest dubbing ever.

The woman runs to the platform throws her hands into the air, yells 'I can't swim' and then sprints onto the turtles in the water.

lol. I still laugh thinking about that. :D

Its on tonight at 8:00 (central time), so anyone who hasn't seen it should check it out.

If you have any sense of humor what-so-ever you will enjoy it.

I am counting the minutes (32 left at the moment) :).

mawharhar,

they've been showing this show for a couple of years now over here in Germany... they call it "Takeshi's Castle" and now comes the funny part:
- the host actually is the Japanese director and actor Beat Takeshi (made some cool independent movies).

I watched it a couple of times and I like the "trash factor".

sorry to revive an old thread out of nowhere, but this has got to be one of the funniest uses of a half-hour of television I've ever witnessed. My older brother and his daughter came to visit over this past weekend and he asked if I'd ever seen it - he tried to explain, but did it no justice. Thankfully SpikeTV (as the network is called now) shows at least 2 episodes back to back, so you don't have to stop laughing for at least an hour at a time. Now I wish I had TIVO so I could record a bunch before they stop showing it. This is a comedy goldmine!

i can't believe how many episodes they've dubbed, and they still haven't run out of jokes. this show should be required viewing.

i have to wonder, though: few (or none) of those stunts would be allowed on any american show due to insurance & liability reasons... do you think any of the contestants ever got hurt? i mean seriously hurt? i'd be surprised if there weren't several major injuries over the lifetime of that show.

and what do we always say? DON'T! GET! ELIMINATED!

Is it me, or is there an obsession with the word "babaganush"?

no its not you! my g/f always brings this up when we watch it.

it seems that every third contestant has it as a last name.
