Hey all. I have a Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro that I am letting go. I am building a home and have decided to go with just my work machine and PC desktop for now as I will need to purchase appliances for my home. I was also able to talk my employer into getting FCP for me at work so I no longer need mine and will include it with the MacBook Pro.

The machine is in PERFECT condition. I have babied this thing since I got it and it has really never left my desk.

The specs are:

Basically the base Core 2 Duo 2.16 model with the memory upgraded to 2GB. Just in case, here it is:

• 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4MB L2 Cache
• 2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM (2 x 1GB sticks)
• 120GB Serial ATA Drive@5400rpm - Fujitsu MHW2120BH
• 6x double-layer SuperDrive
• 15" Widescreen Matte Display with NO DEAD PIXELS
• 1440 x 900 screen resolution
• ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics (128MB SDRAM)
• AirPort Extreme (802.11n may be activated if needed)
• Bluetooth 2.0+EDR

I got this computer on March 31, 2007 from the Apple Store in Indianapolis. I have the original receipt that I will include with the sale. Extended Applecare may be purchased until March 31, 2008.

The serial number starts with W8708 and the battery still holds a full charge (about 3 - 3.5 hours with screen dimmed halfway and Bluetooth disabled)

I am also including Final Cut Studio 5.1 FULL INSTALL RETAIL VERSION (without printed manuals) and two user guides to help you get started. Since it is retail that means you can use it to upgrade to FCS 2 down the road. It has been registered to me but I am sure there is a way to transfer that registration… correct?

The computer will ship in its original box with all manuals, sales receipts, & accessories just like the day I opened it. Final Cut will ship with all the DVDs and the serial number sheet (of course haha)

I’m not looking to do any trading and I was hoping to get about $2500 plus shipping WITH Final Cut Pro 5.1. Does this seem like a fair price?

I would like to stick to US transactions only please. Numerous individuals on this forum can vouch for me (and if any of you stuble upon this tread please leave some kind words for me haha). Let me know if you are interested. Oh, and I am cool with PayPal or MO/Cashiers Check.

*EDIT* I would rather sell this thing on MR rather than ebay so I will even toss in an external FireWire 800 enclosure with a 250GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 hard drive installed!

did you upgrade the RAM yourself or did it come from apple with the 2 gigs? also, would you consider selling it without the FCP and if so, how much? thanks.

Just wanted to say that I have bought/sold multiple items with Chrispy and it was excellent. His stuff is in excellent shape (and I am very very picky). I even think that we were involved in a trade at some point and it went great. Buy with confidence!

I noticed when reviewing your listing that the hard drive model that you listed does not match the size that you have stated.

The Hitachi HTS541616J9SA00 model is actually 160GB in size, not 120GB.

Be careful when you are using other people's postings as a template for your own.

Thanks for catching that. Indeed, I got lazy trying to get the bullet points to work (just would not take when I was hitting the bullet point button for some reason) so I copied a bulleted list for another post and, voila!, the bullets stayed around when I previewed the post :)

I actually did take the time to look up the HDD information, however, and simply typed in the wrong numbers. I have attached the PDF I used so you can see where I goofed up on reading the wrong line. Furthermore, I was on my friend's MBP at the time and it had a Hitachi drive as well, so I assumed mine would be the same. Turns out, it is a Fujitsu MHW2120BH. I took at screen shot of the info now that I'm at my own computer this morning. Sorry about the confusion... this was a case of lazy posting and I should have checked MY computer's specs before I left instead of relying on my friend's system's specs.

As for the RAM, it came with 1GB and I added a 1GB stick.

As for selling the system alone, I would consider it if I don't get any hits for the group. I'm really hoping this system will appeal to someone looking to get into video editing since it comes with all you need :)

Finally, thanks for all the folks who have vouched for me! They were all great transactions and great people to work with as well. I'm a firm believer in keeping my items in great shape, shipping next day after payment, and packing and insuring the items properly. Everyone who has vouched for me here shared those same qualities and I would do another transaction with them any day!

I dropped the price by $200 down to $2500 as I would really like to get this thing sold without having to resort to ebay. I will even toss in an external FireWire 800 enclosure with a 250GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 hard drive installed.
