Are those ports 'External SATA', or plain old SATA, like you'd find on a motherboard?

The ports are eSATA and they will only connect to eSata. There are two SATA ports available inside the Mac Pros and you would need to buy this (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/MPQXES2/) in order to complete the setup in order for this to work properly, but once you have it up and running, the drives work as if they were internal drives.

Make me an offer, I am in need of external enclosures for two SATA drives I have.
