Man, thats oldschool.

I'll keep an eye out at the PC group I'm a member of, the thrift stores, and the food bank I'm a volunteer at (We seem to collect anything and everything)

We sometimes see stuff of this vintage.

If I find one, its yours for the price of packing and shipping it.

I have a couple, but I'm not sure if they work. Unfortunately I'm at WWDC this week so I can't check until I get back.

Very interested if they work. I'm in no hurry, so just PM me when you return from the "Unfortunate" WWDC ;)

A great place to buy atari stuff is from this guy.

http://www.atarisales.com

Never had any problems. Not sure if he has any 400's though. Worth a try at least.

$100 is a bit steep. Even if it is reconditioned. I'll keep it in mind, however.

Ewww... At least the 800 had real keys. ;) Good luck on the search.

eBay's your friend.

I just got one almost complete in box (only missing the power supply but I have a bunch of those) and the programmer's kit complete in box for $90.

You should be able to find one for about $40.

eBay's your friend.

FeeBay is not *my* friend.

They have screwed me in the past and I also refuse to deal with a company that double dips on every sale that is paid by CC through PayPal. I'll buy there as a last resort only.

Like I said, I am in no hurry - there are plenty of geeks on this site that may just own that particular Atari model.

Sorry for the rant, I just can't stand eBay anymore and I choose to not patronize them.

Yeah, I don't particularly care for eBay either.

Good luck with your search. They're neat computers. I've a fully functional 800 setup with tape drive and multiple floppy drives and a bunch of other stuff and tons of games I enjoy. Not for sale, of course. ;)

Easy to find cheap. Search Craigslist.org (http://Craigslist.org) or the Marketplace at Atariage.com (http://www.atariage.com).

I remember playing a Frogger clone on the Atari 400 called Preppie. Classic.
