WTB: Upconverting DVD Player

I'm looking for a good fairly cheap DVD Player with an HDMI output and USB2 connectivity. I'm thinking of getting the Phillips DVP5982, which runs $70 at BestBuy. But if you have one in good working condition, I'd love to take it off your hands :)

Not trying to crap your thread, just wanted to add my .02.

That model you speak of is a kick arse model. I Have a similar model, but its has the slower USB (doesnt matter to me as I dont use USB, thats what my Tivx is for)
But the upconverting.... wow...its amazing!

I might be wrong, but I think that you're thinking about the DVP5960 (the previous gen model).

I am..... but its very similar. The USB is slower..thats about the only difference.
When I purchased mine, this one you speak of was not out yet.
And like I mentioned, the USB was not a issue as I have a different setup for playing avi files.

Either way...you'll be happy!

I have the DVP5982, don't settle for anything less. 1080p upconverting is amazing and playing movies/clips off your flash drive is very sweet. ;)
