Printing Abnormalities

Hi,
I have some problems printing properly.

I am using an iBook 600MHz OSX 10.2.6 trying to print over a network to an HP Color Laserjet 4550N.

The problem is that when I print the majority of times white appears as yellow... very strange.

pdf documents print out with a completly yellow background.
I've tried everything I know but cannot stop it. Can anyone help.

Have you installed the printer drivers for the 4550N?

The preinstalled hp printer drivers on 10.2 seem to be restricted only to the deskjet models.

I'm not aware how old the 4550N is, does it precede OS X 10.1?

I'd also look into GIMP Print if all else fails.
