many engineers have the problem of getting tunnel vision, something business types are taught to avoid...but not with success all the time

i know a stanford phd engineer who thought his 286 was enough in the pentium 2 era...and another one who thought his 486 was good during the beginning of the pentium 4 era

not too long ago, computer engineers and coders were dealing with dummy terminals, and before that vacuum tubes

and with cutbacks in education everywhere, along with a lot of long winded red tape, schools cannot keep current and educators, who have never held a real job in high tech, are woefully behind

all this adds up to the stupid statements one sees above

......right now, some cannot see the need for 8 gb in a g5 tower...just wait:p

Yeah I need every copy of EVERY peice of software I ever owned to be running all the time.
