Safe Leopard install

Hey.

I... "acquired" a copy of Leopard build 9A466 recently ;) . I would like to know if there is a way to install it safely, so there is little or no chance of being "stuck" in Leopard - I have heard of times when Leopard doesn't accept the Tiger install DVD as a bootable disk.

Apparently it is not possible to run Mac virtually, so I was wondering if anyone could help me. Thanks!
