Hey all,
I've put this onto eBay, I appreciate your interest and encourage you to bid on this fine piece of technological engineering. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330147531242&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=014)
I've recently purchased a MacBook, and to help cover the costs I'm selling my 4 year old PowerBook.
The PowerBook is in excellent condition, only a few nearly invisible scratches on the exterior. I use a Screensavrz since the machine was new, so there are no keyboard marks visible on the screen. The battery is still at 84% health (and is newer than the computer due to being replaced by recall). As you can see in the pics I attached, this machine is truly in pristine condition. the only way it would look less used would be if it hadn't been. The hard drive has been reformatted with a standard 10.4 install (the screenshot below shows 10.4.10 installed, but you'll have to run the updates once you set it up (it'll play the opening video and set-up program immediately upon opening)
Specs are:
• 1.25Ghz PowerPC G4 processor
• 15" LCD with 0 (zero) dead or stuck pixels
• 100GB 7200RPM internal HD (user installed)
• 1.5GB RAM (1024 + 512)
• Combo (DVD-ROM/CD-RW) Drive
• Airport Extreme 802.11g
• Bluetooth built-in
• Battery at 84% health after 234 cycles
• 10.4 Tiger (official Apple 10.4 discs included in box as well as the PowerBook's original software discs)
Also included:
• AC power adapter (US)
• DVI->VGA adapter
• S-Video->Composite adapter
• Airport manual/software
• Telephone cable (for built-in modem)
• Original packaging (less UPC from rebate use)
Problems:
• One of the rubber feet has broken off, but this does not cause the machine to wobble/rock when placed on a flat surface.
• The hooks to wrap the cable around the AC adapter have broken off.
• The two prong piece for the AC adapter is not included.
• The LCD does have a small area the size of a pencil eraser that appears a touch brighter (see pic), but I rarely ever noticed it when in use.
