As the market has changed so much recently I am unsure what to ask. I have been asking for offers. I have one of $1200 so far but I think thats too low for this computer with Apple Care. The last I checked in the refurb store at Apple this model was $1499 with 1gb ram and no Apple Care + tax for most. So I think somewhere around $1500.

I think 1500 is too much for CD. I hope you get a good price. G'luck

Yes, Buy it Now. My wife and i both went to MacBooks from MacBook Pros. I had two 2.4 glossy screens but both went back for yellow bottom 1/3 of screen. From reading these boards and others seems luck of the draw as to what you get so we went with the MacBooks. Nice screen, bright, runs fast, no problems. For what we do can't tell any difference. Will let the macbook pros work out the kinks and maybe sometime later try again.

Oh - you're in Albany. I'll be flying into ALB on the 26th and going up to Brant Lake to our camp. Right now I'm in France.
Can you tell a difference in screen resolution from the MBP to MB? I'm on a 12" PB now at 1024x768 and I *REALLY* miss the screen res from my old G5 20" iMac. I am afraid the MB screen res won't be good enough.
Thanks :-)

Well, I've had a long story that has ended me up with my current MacBook. The short answer to your question is the res is fine for 95% of what i do. If I need a bigger screen or more resolution I hook to my Samsung 20' external monitor. I just sold my 17" MacBook Pro and my wife her 15" to come to the MacBooks and we are doing just fine with them. Love the foot print. I really wanted the 15" LED MacBook pro (or thought I did) but I had problems with getting the yellow tint on the bottom 1/3 of the screen. Finally gave up exchanging and went with the MacBook. No regrets. The MacBook is not a toy as some say and its a great portable. My guess is you'll do just fine with the macbook.

Are the new MBs LED? And C2D Santa Rose? Any idea when new revisions come out? I would like to get it when I return to the States on the 26th, but I *can* wait until late September.
Thanks again.

No, the MacBooks are not LED or Santa Rosa. I would not expect any updates to the MacBooks until late fall if then.
