I have one 512MB stick of Hynix RAM originally from a 1.5GHz PowerBook, one 512MB stick of Samsung RAM originally from a 1.5GHz PowerBook, and two unopened sticks of 1GB Crucial RAM that I am interested in selling. The two used sticks work flawlessly, and if the new sticks doesn't work, you know Crucial is good for their warranty.

Looking for $25 shipped for each of the smaller sticks and $75 shipped for each of the larger sticks (retail is like $111.00, and it's unopened, so I won't accept anything lower on those - I'd rather just return it). If you want both smaller sticks, it will be $45 shipped. One smaller and the large one is $95 shipped. The two smaller and one large one together is $115. Both large ones together is $140. All four together is $180.

PM or drop a line here if you're interested. I've done more than a handful of deals on the boards here if you need any refs.

I am interested in the Crucial RAM for my iBook (as below). Can anyone (CanadaRam, are you there?) tell me if this will fit & work in my iBook? Crucial seems to offer 3 types for Powerbook, with none of the cat numbers matching iBook's... I'm confused  TIA

Do you know which model iBook it is? Was it from when 1.33 was the top-end iBook or the bottom-speed iBook? According to Apple-History.com, the earlier ones (topping out at 1.33) take PC2100, while the later ones (topping out at 1.42) take PC2700. I also don't know if PC2700 would work in the earlier ones, just at a slower speed.

Anyone who knows more about this than I do?

PC2700 should clock down and run at PC2100 without an issue. Since his iBook is a 14" 1.33Ghz, it's not the last one, it has to be the one before that.

PC-2700 will clock down to PC-2100 speeds. I'm running PC-2700 in my wife's 1GHz iBook G4.

Deal pending with mkrishnan for the second stick of Crucial RAM. I'm awaiting payment at this time. The two 512MB sticks are still up for grabs, though, and if this sale doesn't work out the Crucial stick will be back on the block.

Just wanted to say I received mine today, and it's already in. :D Everything is as promised, and my iBook seems to be responding to it very well so far. :) Will leave heatware shortly. :)
