I have an aiport extreme I am looking to sell. It is in excellent condition. Please offer a reasonable price and hopefully we can work something out.

Is this the base unit?

yes it is. I'm not trying to be a smartass, but was there a different kind of airport extreme that was not a base station, I have never heard of that unless you are referring to an airport express maybe?
Are you interested?

EDIT: Corrections based on this (http://www.ifelix.co.uk/tech/1301.html).
Actually, for what it's worth, there are three models of the AEBS... the differences are minor, but there're two models that don't have power over ethernet (one with and one without an antenna port and a modem port) and then there's one that does have PoE....
M8930LL/A is the one that has no antenna & modem port
M8799LL/A is one that has the antenna & modem port
EDIT: M9397LL/A is the last one, which has an antenna and POE but no modem.
The link above details more on the differences between them.
They're all outstanding routers, though. I have never used an 802.11g router I thought was better. :) So I would consider any of them worth buying. Good luck with the sale!

Easiest way is to match the ports up to these photos:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107908
Note you're looking for two features -- the phone jack between the ethernet ports and the USB port, and the antenna jack that's on the extreme left in the drawings. Between the presence or absence of those two features, you should be able to tell which of the three you have. :)

Or turn it upside down and read the model number.

Or turn it upside down and read the model number.
Mine lists a model # on the bottom, but not in that format; you'd have to find a different key for whatever numbering scheme is on the bottom. Mine, which is M8930LL/A, is model 1034A or something like that.

OK found it. That chart was awesome. I have the second round airport extreme from the top. When you clock on the set of links from the page mkrishnan sent, this is what you would get (http://support.apple.com/specs/airport/AirPort_Extreme_Base_Station.html). Mine is the one with 6 outlets on the back and includes the telephone line port.

OK, I'm interested. How much do you want for it? Shipped to 11360.

not trying to be tricky or anything, but I really have no idea what one of these things sells for with all the options mine has and its used status but perfect condition. I tired looking around and prices are all over the place so if you would be willing to set out a price we could work on and go up or down a little from there? I will keep looking in the meantime.

Sorry for my delay, I had forgotten about this until I saw another post from you.
How about $75 shipped?

So that is a bit lower than I would ideally like. But here is my confusion, in many retail stores I see this listed at $125 obviously that is a store so they mark it up a lot. Then on ebay and other Mac related sites I see it listed from anywhere from about $65-$115. I'm not trying to nickel and dime you, just not really sure about what a fair price from my end is. If you don't mind, let me think it over a little, but I think it will be a bit higher than $75 shipped as that would be less than 50% the cost of something I only got about 15 months ago and is in perfect condition, unlike powerbook #3 that is like an old golden retriever ready to go off to that special place.
