OK was at the yard sale, found a sealed 12" powerbook....
The PowerBook G4/1.33 12" features a 1.33 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4) processor with the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processing unit and 512k on chip level 2 cache, 256 MB of PC2700 DDR SDRAM, a 60 GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive (4200 RPM), either a slot-loading 4X "SuperDrive" (M9184LL/A), built-in Bluetooth 1.1 and AirPort Extreme (802.11g), and NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 (4X AGP) graphics with 64 MB of DDR SDRAM in an attractive aluminum alloy case with a 12.1" TFT XGA display (1024x768 native resolution)
it was sealed and I dont think it has ever been used, I am charging it now to make sure it holds c aharge..

On a machine that old i think its value added to make sure the battery was still in working order.

If the thing was SEALED, as in NEVER OPENED, then why wouldn't the battery (and everything else) be in perfect working order

Sealed with macs is a bit of a strange statement.
other than the easily replaced circle sticker thingy, there is no plastic or anything else one can find to know whether an Apple laptop has been opened?

Get coconut battery and check the load cycles?
And man, I can't believe someone let the computer go for $100. That's a frickin' amazing deal - congrats.

I could use an extra MBP ;)
I wish I get lucky enough to find deals like these. Some people have all the luck, I could use a 12" PowerBook, the MBP is too big to carry with me daily, but the 12" PowerBook seems perfect.

Cybergypsy, I will buy it if no one else does, but I can't afford much. In other words, I can give you a tidy profit but not its market value. It would make a great gift for my mother (who has outgrown her old iBook G3). Please let me know if we can work out a deal. I'll PM you a price too :)
