could this replace my current d-link wireless router? how good is the range?

stagecustom - I have the unit at 50% transmit power and get 5 bars in most of our house (4 bedrooms / 2600 square feet / single level) with a few areas getting "only" 4 bars on the 50% setting. There are as many as 5 walls between the unit and my MBP as I walked it around testing reception. My opinion is that range is excellent - no idea how it will perform in your arrangement. My internet cable is hooked up to a cable modem, that modem is connected to the AEBS, that AEBS feeds high speed internet to Macs and PCs within the house - sometimes as many as 8 at once :-)

Not sure how to answer your question about the d-link - I think so - what are you trying to accomplish with the purchase?
