I'm thinking of selling my iMac, but have no idea what I should expect to get out of it.
iMac 20"
2.0 GHz Core Duo
2GB RAM
X1600 256MB
250GB HDD
Some insight would be appreciated, thanks!

Better sell quickly, new ones coming out.
Let me check our church's budget status for my ministry.
Do you have the box/packaging? AppleCare?
Will you take PayPal (we will pay CC fees), how about a Church business check (yes, we are good for it).
Thanks.

Yes, I have the original box and packing, and the extended AppleCare.
Refurbished this is going for $1200 from Apple, and that is without the memory and video card upgrades.
I'm watching a few eBay auctions too... just trying to get an idea of what I might get for it.
Thanks for the quick repsonse!
Edit: and yeah, I could take both types of payments.

I will buy it right now. As far as price, I need to know a couple things.
Is this a refurb?
Any damage or problems?
When was it purchased?
Is the RAM 3rd party?
If the answers are:
No
No
Within the last 6 months
Yes
I will give you $1300 shipped right now.
If the last one is no, I will give you $1350 shipped right now. Let me know.

Edit: No, this is not a refurb.
Shipped Date: Jan 23, 2006
Shipped RAM: 1 x 1GB
Additional RAM: 1 x Patriot 1GB 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Notebook Memory - Retail (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820220111)
I chose that as my additional RAM because it is an exact match (spec wise) to the shipped memory, and specifically had reviews stating perfect use in this specific iMac model.
I have had no problems with the system at all. I just got an mac laptop and thought I'd test the water, thanks.
AppleCare should be good until April 2009 (first 90 days are included with the system).

Looking into this a bit more, I realized the only thing they seem to have upgraded on the 20" iMacs now is the processor, am I wrong on that?
If not, that means to get the same thing as I have, you are easily going to pay $1850-$1900 (depending on your tax rate). Toss in AppleCare and that bumps it up another $170.
And there will only be two things that are different from mine:
1. It would be new.
2. 2.16 GHz C2D vs. 2.0GHz CD
Sounds like I'm being told those marks alone are worth $750, which doesn't quite seem right.
Well see what eBay reveals in the next couple days :D

3. Upgradable to 3 gigs of ram, as opposed to yours, which can only handle 2.
just sayin...
Edit: thought I would add, I have this same computer, and it is fantastic.

that's so sad that you can only get $1400 for that now. :(
When I got mine last June, it was THE top of the line iMac. Same specs as yours, but a 500GB HDD. I think It cost me something like $2300.
