View Full Version : iBook 300 runnin OS X shutting off

Suddenly today, my wife's 300 MHz tangerine iBook has started turning itself off. Sometimes it'll run for 10 minutes, other times it'll turn off while in midboot (from turning off previously). Any thoughts? Thanks!

Maybe there's a problem with the iBook's Power Manager Unit (PMU). Look here for directons on resetting it. It's worth a try, as it will not hurt anything.
