I received a 17" Macbook Pro as a result of a replacement from Apple. It isn't exactly the specs that I wanted so I am selling it to get an upgraded model.
Here are the specs:

- 17" Matte 1680 x 1050 screen
- 2.4 Ghz Santa Rosa CPU
- 2 Gigs RAM
- 160 GB 5400 HD

You should know that this notebook is from the states so it has a US keyboard layout. I am selling this keyboard in London. I would prefer a local pickup, but I will ship it in the UK ONLY if the offer is worth it.

I will not take less than £1500.00 GBP. At that price yo-u can pick up AppleCare and pretend you got it for free. :)

I will update here with any answers to questions posted here.

Regards,
B

Got the receipt for warranty purposes? You might want to put UK in the title too by the way..

"- 2.4 Mhz Santa Rosa CPU"

And 2.4Mhz would be fast for a calculator but not a laptop.

Does it come with a UK charger?

Oh, and for less than £1545 I can get a new one from the UK Apple Store (student discount) for a bearing on price.

Don't know why I put Mhz... I did the same on another post that I was listing a 1 Ghz 12" PowerBook. Uhhhg... been a long day.

As far as the UK power cord goes. It comes with a US plug as it is a US unit. The adapters are easy to come by though. If you have a older version of a powerbook or even an ibook you can take the end off and use that. Otherwise they are reasonably cheap to by an international adapter kit. http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=93FDC830&nplm=M8794

I do have the reciept. As I said it was shipped to me from Texas by apple as a replacement for a defective Powerbook... So I do not know what the reciept that they sent me will do for a buyer. The machine is brand new and still in a sealed box. I do not know how warrantys work on units obtained like this. I am assuming that you can buy applecare for it.

as far as your student discount goes... If you can get a 17" MBP for £1545.00... than go for it. I am selling mine for 1500. As I said before... it is brand new and sealed. So if you dont have the means to get the Edu discount than my offer is quite fare. And even if you can it is 45 quid cheaper.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions though.
