I'm looking into selling my Macbook and wanted to know what it was worth. It was purchased 8/06 and is warrantied through 8/09.
Specs:
-2.0ghz Core Duo
-1GB RAM
-80GB HD
-Superdrive
-White in color
-Original box, DVDs, etc

It's still in perfect condition, having rarely left my desk. There is no discoloration on the trackpad or palmrests as I have used a mouse with it since buying it. I have had absolutely no problems with this laptop.

Now for sale, $850. I'll also throw in a mini-DVI to VGA adapter.

Edit: Added more specs, thanks mkrishnan.

That low? I was thinking more $900+ based on CL and some eBay sales that were around 1000 (MR sales as 90% of ebay); and even some on here.

I think 800 sounds good

Sadly the MacBooks don't hold their value like they should. The MB is going on 1 year now. I think 800 or around there would be a good price.

I would offer 800 for it.

I would offer 800 for it.

I just sold a fully loaded MB CD 2.0 2GB Ram and 160GB HD, 2 AC Adapters, mini-DVI to DVI and mini-DVI to VGA adapters for $899 (local, no shipping)

Not bad considering the upgrades were not that expensive and the unit was originally a refurb. I think they hold decent resale. I know a 7-8 month old Dell would not sell that well.

w/o the extras $750 to $800 is reasonable.

Cheers,

Well, yes, that low... if you're asking on these boards. If you're going off CL or EBAY, then yes, a bit higher. BUT, you have to remember, AppleCare isn't going to add THAT much more value, even if you paid the $250 for it. That's because you can buy a similar machine (refurb) with Apple's one year warranty for about that much online. So you're giving an extra year of warranty as incentive for someone to buy from you... and they get a one year old computer or so, instead of a fresh refurb.

Man, if i just waited for that stupid update, i could have had a 1.83GHz Core 2 Duo locked down for $800, and i'd gladly jump on this deal if i had the chance.

Ok, not really. Mine has a faster processor, twice the memory, a bigger HD, and 2 years warranty instead of 1.

It might behoove you to add in to your original post whether it is white or black, and whether it has a combo drive or a superdrive. Good luck! :)

You are not comparing showing comparable systems. The OP's computer is faster, has more RAM, and an extended warranty.
