Pretty cool... it's almost a shame that black inner housing is there... it would look great if it covered the whole inside of the dome... or wasn't there at all. But it's half there and half not. A matter of taste, I guess. :p

Now a metal apple logo on that thing would look cool!

I think they were referring to a clear iBook that showed up in some pix from MW Tokyo...

no im not referring to that. this was way before mwt. and i believe, though im not sure. that they ibook from mwt was just an ibook without its case and spread out under a clear plastic protective case like apple does to show off the inards of its computers.

there was a thread started here some time ago about someone who had seen (in person) some ibooks thatw ere clear. there were no pictures provided. but the person seemed to think that people had opened the ibook and scratched off the white color, but he wasnt sure or just wasnt very clear. anyone remember this?

[edit] o look at that arn posted while i was writing this. thanks arn. thats pretty cool. i wish we had pictures of the clear ibook. but that metalic ibook looks pretty neat. i ha dthought about moding my g3powerbook but its a lot more difficult. makes me want to get an ibook jst to mess with it.

Check it out! the innards are Lucent parts!

I guess this means the Orinoco (www.orinocowireless.com/) equipment would work as close to native as a 3rd party product can. Check out the building mount kits.:D

You can also do it with the graphite G4 towers and the new iMacs, haven't seen one of those yet, but someone on www.iPoding.com said they did, but there were no pictures of it, hey you could probably do it with the iPod too. Hmmm, should I dissect mine, or wait until the 90 warranty is gone. I think I will wait. but I will try it.

And I don't mean the ones that wear suits and trundle down to Brighton on their Vespa's....:p

Has anyone seriously considered having their Ti Book chromed??? Or even better has anyone actually had the NADS to get it done...??:D

Ha ha... as soon as i typed I thought "I bet NADS in American is something other than bo**ocks!!!" :D

I'll re-phrase in my finest English!!!

"Anyone got the boy balls to get their expensive Ti love slab chromed then have their love buffed and polished till shiney???:D "

Now I know what NADS are in America...... I can just imagine the ladies going into shops and asking for NADS please......:D :D :D :D

Mind you hair removal cream here in England is called immac........

now that is alittle too close for comfort........;)

while checking out applefritter.com i found a link to a website that sells custom laptop keyboards. thought i would share...
http://www.digitalhipps.com/english/english01.htm

im thinking... still not sure... about getting the white keyboard and using Pactra Racing Paint to add white to the top side panels of my g3 powerbook. im thinking this way it might match my new iMac better, just be cool, and give me some more content for my website (i'll post pictures of the process and what not). still, im a little hesitant to dive in just yet. been thinking about it for awhile and all of this has kinda inspired me.
