I like both of yours Mr. Anderson & Wes, very simple. I like the space theme. Mr. Anderson's is a look into his mind! Wes has one that looks similar to the Death Star in Star Wars. Both seem to be fans of space. Thank you for sharing!

I shot that here, in the suburbs of New Orleans. There's a carwash around here with a "safari" theme, so it has palm trees & such. It was just one of those rare occasions when the sky looke amazing...so I aimed & grabbed some shots. :D

It's nice to see a fellow Quicken user pEZ. I use mine for all my home financial records. Have it setup so I can view my bank accounts and pay all my bills online!

Actually, I don't use Quicken for banking, I use Quicken for investing. To keep track of my credit cards and checking account I use iBank (http://www.iggsoftware.com/ibank/) (the icon to the left of Quicken in my dock). It's a nice little app, and much more bare-bones than Quicken - I'm a college student, so not enough bills to pay online. Just simple money management.
Investing is a different story - haven't found a program that keeps track of my investments better than Quicken, otherwise I'd probably rid myself of it. It's nice, but too bulky IMO. Rock on.

I am using a Kaleidoscope Scheme called Panther with matching ATM, MOS and Control Strip Hack as well as Smoothtype & PowerWindows. The Dock is called A-Dock , the shadow under the menubar is actually part of the desktop wallpaper. The mods to IE & Quicktime are done by Max Rudberg. Since I only have a G3 in this box I use OS 9 for DivX viewing. Sorry for the bad quality, the QT Picture Viewer didn't let me do better....
Cheers,
Ahmed

I prefer my desktops clean with no icons or dock. (The dock is just hidden. It's centered on the right hand side. Magnification off. Smallest size.)

There is both WeatherPop and WeatherPop Advance (http://www.versiontracker.com/mp/new_search.m?productDB=mac&mode=Quick&OS_Filter=MacOSX&search=weatherpop&x=0&y=0).
WeatherPop is total freeware, no time limit, just that you don't get
a weekly forecast or any other extra details such as humidity, dewpoint,
wind speed, barometer, sunrise and sunset time, etc.
WeatherPop Advance, which includes all these features,
is $8 shareware.

i use temperature monitor (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/19994). the program has several differnt windows that can show the temperature, including a dock icon. i set up the menubar display within the program, and then used the program dockless (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/18195) to make the program not show up in the dock. dockless changes some plist value to make the program 'invisible'. the only side effect is i can't access the menus of the effected program.
i then put it in my login items, so that when X starts, the program does to, but u can't see the program launch or the dock icon
the temp check frequency is also adjustable. not every proc is supported.
