SOLD - Trade a Low res 17" 2.4 MBP for a High res 17" 2.4 MBP - Anyone?

I have in my possession a 17" 2.4 Ghz MBP with the standard resolution screen (still new in box) I however want to get the high resolution screen. I have my MBP for sale at the moment but was just curious if there was anyone out there who would prefer the lower resoltion screen for a swap of their Higher res???

I am coming to the states on Aug 19th so I will open this up to US people as well. Although I am currently in the UK.

I find it odd that anyone might believe someone would be willing to swap a 17" HR MBP for a standard resolution, after they paid a decent amount extra, specifically for that higher resolution.

fed girl here, I agree it does sound stolen, not something someone should post on a forum site, you never know who fed wise is on board, don't you agree :)

If you check any of my other posts you will see that it was a recent replacement from Apple. My 17" PowerBook 1.67 went in for its like 29th repair and they decided that it was time to actually do the right thing and replace it. They did so with a 17" MacBook Pro. Although I asked for the High Res 17" screen they said that it wasn't possible. I then offered to pay the $100.00 and they said it still wasn't possible. I hope that is enough explanation as to how I came into my 17" MBP.

As far as why I am asking if anyone would want to swap is because I have read several posts from people saying that they were unhappy with the high res because it made it hard for them to see fonts. I myself can't quite understand how anyone could have a problem with a high res screen.

we're trying to just look out for each other. the other day, there was someone trying to sell a fake rolex. if it weren't for other's detective work, someone might've made a $2000 mistake.

perhaps people are not used to the phrasing of English english and sensed that it was a non-english speaking person trying to pull a fast one.
