A completly pointless thread, but we need some fun here!
Humor: What kind of potato chip would Apple be if it were one?
A Cheeto, a Ruffles (http://www.fritolay.com/), a Lays (http://www.lays.com/), etc, what?
What flavor would they be, salted, BBQ, salt n' vinegar, etc..?
Or would Apple be another kind of snack food?
What would Apple's competitors be if they were snack foods?
No Apple chip comments! That would be too easy.

Apple would be the lime flavored Lays. Microsuck would be a expired bag of fritos...

Well, I guess they would be Ruffles Salt n' Vinegar.

I would say they are Boulder Potato Company Intense Habernero (http://www.poorebrothers.com/xml/cart/catalog.xml/producer=products/category=100004) chips. They are a little more money then those mainstream Lays or Ruffles but they are more then worth the price.

I think it would probably be a Pringles.
One mac, You can't stop.
:p
Plus they kick and even know they are REALLY good they are WAY overpriced.
Exactally like apple!

I don't know about y'all, but I'm having a bit of trouble trying to match apple to a type of chip.
But I think MrMacMan got about as close as you can.
Pringles are great chips, but hella expensive, and sometimes I gotta go for the doritos because they cost so much less ;).

My thoughts exactly! A more sophisticated chip, a hip chip. :)

Could Apple be considered the Sun Chips?
They're pretty good, and they're baked (I think), not fried...
Or maybe baked lays...
I do agree with microsoft being the stale bag of fritos...
Edit: Actually, microsoft reminds me more of the ugly, black chips that you find at the bottom of the bag...

actually Apple would be a bag of dried apple chips....not potato ;)
potato chips are like pc's and all the brands you've mentioned like Ruffles, Pringles etc. would be comparable to Dell, HP etc. Apple itself is something completely different and much healthier for you....

Yummm...
I had the priviledge as a Yank to live in Covent Garden in London for three months! Sure i was broke as hell as eeking out my living as a Theatre stage manager, but I lived on Sensations chips which are classy, satisfying, and a great value for a a quid and a half. Oh yeah, they go great with Fanta too!

Apple would be a bag of Bite Size, Original Flavor Bagel Chips.....Easy to use, hard to break, lesser known, but they started something great.....yep, that's it.
And they keep getting better by adding more flavors. :D

Oh Yea!!! (http://www.taquitos.net/snacks.php?category_code=82)
I still don't know yet. Perhaps Apple is like a box of CrakerJacks (http://www.crackerjack.com/home.htm) (some years the prize in side is good, other years bad, but nothing compares to memories of the past). Perhaps the WinTell machines are like Pork Rinds (http://www.taquitos.net/snacks.php?snack_code=1445).
http://www.taquitos.net/ has a lot of links to snack foods and manufactures that I never knew exisisted.
